Paul Kerryson

Director

Paul Kerryson is currently Artistic Director and Chief Executive at Buxton Opera House. Previously he was Artistic Director of the Curve Theatre, Leicester.

Paul has directed many productions including the musicals Chicago, Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, 42nd Street, Mack and Mabel (London premiere), The Rink (London premiere) On Your Toes, Follies, Pacific Overtures, Merrily We Roll Along, Piaf, The King and I, Calamity Jane, the European premiere of The Light in the Piazza and the current touring production of Hairspray. Plays include Edward II with Eddie Izzard, The Pillowman with Marc Warren, Single Spies by Alan Bennett, Dolly West’s Kitchen by Frank McGuiness, The Crucible, Richard 111, The Importance of Being Earnest and The Plough and the Stars. He has also directed at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and many community productions in Leicester and Buxton providing a vital platform for young talent. He has also directed productions at the Chichester Festival Theatre, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin.
